I feel your pain, some helpful hints are rinsing with cold water first to close the pores before more fiberglass gets into your skin, then soaking effected area in warm water and epson salt. Hydrocortisone will help if you don't have luck removing. Another trick I've tried is using applying tape to the area of skin, in hopes it collects the slivers like a lint brush. Also, before working with fiberglass coat exposed skin with baby powder it helps avoid fiberglass sticking to you. Hope your project is going well.

Always a fun time!! haha. I have had many trips into attics. The worst thing to do after getting fiber glass splinters is to take a hot/ warm shower. The warm water opens pores and lets the fiber glass sink in deeper. I have found the best help is to take a very cold shower and lightly rub off what you can.

There will still be splinters but it will be less. after that they will fall out in a couple days.

Seems like the only thing that does the trick for me is to use a very soapy washcloth in the shower while being as gentle as possible to my skin.

No rubbing! Stay in one direction!

I did insulation for work, full time, when i was younger for a lot longer than I would have liked to. and there really is no magic cure. The stuff is just gross to be around. Baby powdering your exposed skin (use a lot) and covering up with long sleeves are totally worth it on the prevention side.

I'm not for or against the hot/cold water idea because I know it works for some people but I personally didn't notice any results, and I had to endure the Polar Bear Plunge in the shower after working all day while covered with insulation on top of it. Miserable.

I met someone who used to pretend to be horribly allergic so someone else would have to do it. Hahaha - I wish I could just do that sometimes.
