Description of Onevanilla Ransomware
Onevanilla Ransomware is an infection likely initiated by malicious advertisements. The virus is used to lock or restrict access to a Android system or internet browser using a full screen window or webpage that claims to contain a message from local government departments and other lawful authorities, similar to the FBI virus which is discovered in 2012. The message is always fraudulent and is never sent by any legitimate authority. It always tells victims that they have violate some laws because of watching some porn videos and their device have been lock. If they want to unlock their device, they will need to pay a big fine using inactivated vanilla or other ways like paysafecard. The victims will be told that if they don’t pay the fine, the police would come to their home and they will be accused. In addition, generally this virus will ask victims to pay in 24 hours or XXX days. If the victims don’t pay in time, they will also be accused. Thus if your phone or tablet gets infected by this virus, please keep your mind clear that it is just a scam virus that want to get money from you, just don’t believe it and don’t pay to it. What you need to do is to remove it from your device without delay.
There are different variations of the virus claiming to be the police complete with nasty allegations, and all meant to scare you into forking over your cash. If you get a message from the so-called cyber crime department, your Android device was probably infected with a “Ransomware” virus likely from clicking on an unfamiliar e-mail, malicious links or unsafe advertising pop-ups, visiting pornographic website or downloading attachment from spam emails. But it does not mean that you are absolutely safe, the virus will be dangerous for your data and no one knows if the malware can install other threats to the phone in order to get your personal information.

Why do Onevanilla Ransomware use Ukash? I’ve paid on it, can I get my money back?
Ukash is known to be the most common way to pay for this cyber police. When you pay for something online through legit processors, it is possible that the payment can still be canceled. But it is impossible when you are paying via this Ukash. Just like the famous FBI Moneypak virus, many victims still look for a way to get their money back. All I can suggest is that you should try to contact with the bank to see if there’s any chance to cancel this payment. Otherwise, you should renew the information of your credit card and any cards that you use to pay so that you won’t be suffering from more damages. Then please try to get rid of this Onevanilla Ransomware Scam as soon as possible. In order to do that, manual removal is the most appropriate way to completely uninstall this program from your devicec. There isn’t a perfect program to deal with it successfully. And with manual removal process, you don’t have to reinstall Windows which takes much longer time and may even cause damages to hard disks due to frequently reinstalling.
