How to remove kenmore microwave from wall?
If you are updating your kitchen and have been having trouble removing your old built-in microwave, then you are in luck. While removing a built-in microwave may seem like a daunting task, especially if you have never installed or removed one before, it is quite a simple project that involves the removal of a few screws.
Turn off the power supply that is running to your microwave by going to your home's fuse box and turning off the fuse leading to your kitchen.
Locate the grill of your microwave on the front and remove it. There may be a few screws holding the front into place, or you may just be able to snap it out of place. If there are screws holding it into place, unscrew the screws with a screwdriver.
Look for three screws directly behind the front grill of your microwave all the way in the back. These screws are attaching your microwave to its mounting unit on the back wall.
Remove the three screws that are connecting your built-in microwave to the back of the wall. At this point, there are only two screws on top, connecting your microwave to the cabinetry above. Make sure you support the microwave's weight once you remove the first three screws because it might fall.
Take off the top two remaining screws that are connecting your built-in microwave to the bottom of the cabinetry above. Remember, these are the last remaining screws connecting your microwave, so make sure you have the weight of the microwave supported before removing either of these screws to prevent injury or damage.
